COVID – 19 - How we are going the ‘extra yard’ at The Coast Yard
We are delighted to be open again, and our main aim continues to be our guest’s safety, whilst offering the same enjoyable stay. This is still a challenging time for us and so any operational changes we’ve made are with safety in mind.
We are carefully managing occupancy to enable social distancing. For now, we have decided to open only our garden rooms with direct ground floor access.
Other than by prior arrangement, we are strictly observing our check-in times (15:00 to 19.30). Guests will be asked for an arrival time so that we can avoid different parties arriving at the same time.
Our breakfast room remains closed, so we will be serving breakfast directly to your room. We will ask you to place your order the evening before and we will then deliver this to you. Tables and chairs have been added to rooms to allow this. We’ve made some changes to our menu but there are still continental choices and some hot options available. You can see the menu here.
All condiments, tableware and other amenities will be used solely by yourselves at breakfast. You can also breakfast alfresco in several different areas in our lovely garden, weather permitting!
Although the bar area is closed, we can offer a bar service up to 9pm.
Our hygiene processes have all been reviewed with higher frequency cleaning being implemented in high traffic and touch point areas in bedrooms and our public spaces. Our team has been trained in our new ways of working. This includes wearing protective gear, using the right disinfectant products, and providing our guests with sanitising amenities.
To minimise contact in our bedrooms our housekeeping teams will not enter your room during your stay unless you are staying more than four nights, when they will only enter in your absence. If you require anything additional for your room, please ask us. Limited amenities will be available in rooms, again please ask if you require extras.
All guests are asked to observe social distancing requirements throughout their stay. We have placed sanitising products throughout the property and guests should provide their own facemasks and wear them according to current guidelines.
On arrival you will be asked to use the hand sanitiser provided and follow our contactless check in procedure. Unfortunately, we will not be able help carry your luggage to your room. Payment will be taken on departure. We will email a copy of your invoice should you need one; paper copies will no longer be provided.
The garden and your room are strictly for registered guests, no visitors are allowed.
As many local eateries will have limited availability, we suggest you make advance reservations.
We are doing our utmost to keep everyone safe whilst keeping our business running, so if there’s anything you feel we have not got quite right during your stay please talk to us about it – all feedback is welcomed. We look forward to welcoming you.
